King Solomon Brown, 91, of Tallahassee passed on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, at the Old West Florida Enrichment Center, with burial in Southside Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in Madison and raised in Quincy, Mr. Brown had lived in Tallahassee since 1953. He was a retired Supervisor of Road Maintenance for the Florida Department of Transportation. A widower, he was a longtime member of New Salem M.B. Church. Cherishing his love and memory are his two daughters: Effie (Eugene) White and Laura Brown; sons: Charles, Solomon Jr., Clarence and Michael Brown; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Lois Thigpen, Cora Lee White, Hattie Sapp, Helen Bridges, Angel Brown and Lillie Pearl Williams; brother, Elbert (Nora) Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
