Lula McClenton Rivers, 91, of Monticello's Lloyd Community passed in Tallahassee on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, at Tabernacle M.B. Church, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery, Havana. Viewing-visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in Madison, FL, Mrs. Rivers grew up in Tallahassee. She worked mostly as a private-duty housekeeper and was a longtime member of Tabernacle. Her husband, Mosel "Buddy" Rivers preceded her in death. Among Lula's survivors are her children: Joyce McClenton and Anthony Rockmore; local grandchildren: Jaquanna McClenton and Zachariah McClenton; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Marva Jean Mosby, Linda McClenton and George McClinton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
