Mrs. Lydia Smith Dunbar, 96, of Tallahassee passed on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (Tomorrow), November 29, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950), with viewing before the services from 12-2:00 p.m. at Tillman's. A native of Pendleton, SC, she attended boarding school in NC and Edward Waters College in Jacksonville. She moved to New York, became an X-Ray Tech and worked in private practice and at Mt. Sinai and Jamaica Hospitals. She was an active member of Local 1199 Union. Lydia was an avid health and fitness buff, enjoying astrology, collecting crystals, meditation, yoga and tennis. She worshipped at Unity Church. Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Tina Dunbar (Michael) Walker; grandchildren: Misha Dunbar and Michael Dunbar Walker; sister, Mary Nell Packard; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
