Mack "Pee Wee" Byrd, USAF MSgt., Retired passed unexpectedly on Friday, July 7, 2023. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at New Jerusalem M.B. Church, Havana, with burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Tallahassee. Viewing-visitation is Friday 4-6 p.m. at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). MSgt. Byrd was a graduate of Havana's Northside High School. He served with distinction in the U.S. Air Force from February 1962-February 1982, at which time he retired. He had worked as a FAMU Police Officer and with Florida Probation and Parole Services. He is survived by his daughter, Latasha Byrd (Henry) Scurry; sons: Michael (Jolinda), Vincent (Vanessa), Reginald (Stephanie) and Cedric (Tanika) Byrd; several grand and great-grandchildren; sisters: Corine Byrd, Mary Thomas, Irajean Kirby and Mildred (Johnny) Smith; brothers: Willie Jr., Johnnie Lee, William and Tyrone Byrd; and a host of other relatives and friends.
