Obituary

MALIK SHAKUR JACKSON was the son of Antonio Brown, Sr. and Jennifer Jackson. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida on October 29, 1998.

All of MALIK'S life was spent in his native Chattahoochee and later in Tallahassee where he was surrounded by numerous immediate and extended family members. MALIK attended the public schools of Gadsden and Leon Counties. He entered the workforce full-time while in high school. He worked an array of jobs, often working two full-time jobs simultaneously. From those who knew him best, MALIK loved working. Most recently, he was employed by Five Guys Burgers and Fries. He had also recently worked at Popeye's.

MALIK had an infectious smile. He enjoyed fishing; taking photographs and singing along to the sounds of Michael Jackson. MALIK'S earthly life came to its untimely closure on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. His love and memory will be cherished forever by his loving mother: Jennifer Jackson of Tallahassee, FL; father: Antonio Brown, Sr. of Chattahoochee, FL; girlfriend: Rosa Bordenabe of Tallahassee, FL; brothers: Antonio Brown, Jr., Jadai Jackson, Tallahassee, FL, Armonie Brown, Grand Ridge, FL and Kaysen Brown of Blountstown, FL; those who were like brothers: Jaheim Nixon, Devonn Bryant and Samontre Copeland, all of Tallahassee, FL; sisters: Jennaviyah Jackson, Tallahassee, FL, Kyia Brown, Shelby Brown and Kiarah Brown, all of Grand Ridge, FL; maternal grandmother: Linda Jackson of Tallahassee, FL; paternal grandfather: Homer Jackson of Quincy, FL; paternal grandmother: Elder Shirley B. Brown of Chattahoochee, FL; paternal grandfather: Minister Horace Stanley (Elder Vera) Brown of Atlanta, GA; paternal great-grandmothers: Perliess Murry and Elder Ruthie Lee McWhite, both of Chattahoochee, FL; maternal aunts: Abigail (Dwyane) Jackson, Tallahassee, FL Bernadette Kelley of Gretna, FL; paternal aunt: Bridgette Brown of Quincy, FL; paternal uncles: Corwin (Jessica) Brown, Markeise Brown and DeMarcus Brown all of Chattahoochee, FL; and a host of other loving family and friends.
