It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Marcus McCloud , age 39, of Monticello, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Viewing-visitation will be 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO CHAPEL (850-997-5553) .
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, 4731 N. Salt Road, Monticello, FL 32344, with the burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Marcus Lionel McCloud was born July 13, 1986 to Sharon Jones and Josephus McCloud in Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Pearline McCloud; grandfathers: Paul Jones and Josephus McCloud, Sr.; and uncle: Casey Jones.
Marcus attended the public schools of Jefferson County, where he received his GED. At early age, Marcus confessed Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized. He loved the Lord dearly. His favorite scripture was John 3:16. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
During his leisure time, Marcus loved spending time with his children and family. He enjoyed listening to music. He will forever be missed by his loving family and friends.
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, while at Hollywood Memorial Hospital, God Almighty summoned Brother Marcus Lionel McCloud Home for his eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his love and precious memories, his children: Jeremy Miller, Mckenzie McCloud and Marcus McCloud; loving mother: Sharon Jones; father: Josephus McCloud; sister: Tenisha McCloud; brother: Brandon Gallon; loving grandmother: Castella Blue; aunts: Bridget (Melvin) Coates, Latongi (Brad) Baldwin, Johnnie Phillip, Roxie Hopkins and Artha Hopkins; uncles: Shon (Donna) McCloud and Richard (Helen) Cuyler; niece: Asia Wesley; nephew: Kamarrian King; and a host of other relatives and friends.
It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. McCloud and to serve the McCloud Family.
