Margaret King, 94, of Tallahassee passed on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, at Tabernacle M.B. Church, with burial in Mt. Ararat AME Church Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A longtime Tallahassee resident whose roots originated in Jefferson County's Waukeenah Community, Mrs. King was one of Tabernacle's oldest and longest serving members. She served diligently as an Usher for many years. She was a retired private-duty housekeeper who was well-known for her tidiness and orderliness. Her son, Ernest Jacob preceded her in death on September 30, 2023. Survivors include her grandson, Erland Jacob; great-grandchildren: Genesis, Cherrye and Michelle Jacob; nieces/caregivers: Evangeline King-Wiggins, Linda King Roberts, Gail Rosier Matthews, Julia King McGill and Darlene King, sister-in-law, Louise King; and countless nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
