Marie Taylor Young, 74, of Tallahassee's Woodville Community passed on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, at Anderson Chapel AME Church. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE ( 850-942-1950). Born in Childersburg, AL, Mrs. Young was a retired Frame Technician for CENTEL/Sprint. She had worked over 40 years before retiring. She was the widow of Army veteran, Elbert Young. Survivors include her son, Tony (Phyllis) Simmons of Crawfordville, FL; 5 grandchildren; one grandchild; siblings: Catherine Smith and Elder Robert (Calthy) Thomas; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
