Mother Mary Groover Demps, 92, of Greenville, FL went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Homegoing services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Sanctuary of Praise, with burial in New Zion Cemetery, Greenville. Viewing will be 5-6:30 p.m. Monday at Refuge of Aucilla, 63 Tinnell Road, Monticello 32344. TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO (850-997-5553) is serving the family. She was retired after more than 35 years from Florida Plywood. A longtime member of Refuge (Church), Aucilla, she loved fishing, gardening and selling various foods, vegetables and fruit. Her love will be cherished forever by her daughter, Bettye J. Demps; granddaughter, Melissa Wilson-Ellis; great-grandson, Jarel Ellis; brother, Apostle Dr. Gentle L. Groover; a nephew who was like a son, Ishmael (Bricecine) McNair; sister-in-law, Diane Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
