Mary Jane Hicks Howard, 75, of Tallahassee, FL passed at home on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Meridianwoods Church of Christ. Burial will be 12 noon Monday, January 9, in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A 1965 graduate of FAMU High School, Mrs. Howard earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida A&M University. She was a retired withdrawal counselor at Florida State University. Mary leaves her love to her husband of 49+ years, Maxwell Howard; daughters: Marcia Howard (Sam) Grace and Marhonda Howard (Dwayne) George; son, Montel Howard; bonus son, Darryl (Audrey) Kelly; granddaughter: Marielle George; bonus grandson, Lance Kelly; brother, Charles Alexander; sister, Rosa Alexander (Grant) Scott; godson, Terrell (Jessica) Logan; sister-in-law, Loretta Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.
