Mary Evelyn Jackson Leland, 84, of Tallahassee passed on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, in the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950), with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Thursday (Today) at Tillman's. A native of Marianna, Mrs. Leland was a longtime Tallahassee resident. She was a retired Baker for Leon County Schools, having worked at both Bond Elementary and Griffin Middle School. After retiring, she worked at Elder Care Services. Her love and memory will be cherished forever by her daughter, Frankie Delores Leland; grandchildren: Mya Leland, India Richardson and Taylor Guilford; devoted longtime friend, Don Condry; devoted nephew, William Allen (Cynthia) Jackson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
