Obituary

It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Ms. Mary Alice Parker , age 73, of Monticello, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO CHAPEL (850-997-5553) .

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Northside Church of Christ, 615 N. Railroad Street, Monticello, FL 32344, with the interment concluding in Hickory Hill M.B. Church Cemetery, 243 Bassett Dairy Road, Monticello, FL 32344.

Mary Alice Parker was born to Alfred Parker and Essie Mae Larry Parker on January 8, 1953, in Monticello, Florida. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

As a child, Mary grew up in a large extended family, surrounded by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She attended the public schools of Jefferson County, graduating from Howard Academy.

Mary worked as a cafeteria staff at Jefferson Elementary School. She was also a housekeeper at Jefferson Nursing Center and later retired and became a homemaker. Mary found great joy in being around her family and her three children. She would always love to go shopping with her sister.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, while at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, God Almighty welcomed Mary Home for her eternal Celestial rest. During her lifetime, she touched countless lives and will be fondly remembered by her pleasant demeanor.

Among those whom Mary leaves to cherish her love with sweet memories are her children: Allison (Brandon) Parker, Antonio Parker and Deaundre Parker; granddaughters: Alana Barnhart and Amya Barnhart; sister: JoAnn (George) German; brother: Wilmer Bassett; special nephews: Tyrone Crumity and Tyrone Simmons; special nieces: Myeisha (Keldrick) Peoples, Lavondra (Tyrone) Simmons, Tonya Crumity, Marquita Crumity and Melissa (Devin) Allen; godsisters: Lesia Smith and Marion Anderson; a very special friend: Lillian Odom; along with several aunts, uncles, other relatives and loving friends.

It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Ms. Parker and to serve the Parker Family.
