Mary Louise Robinson Hicks, 82, passed at home on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Funeral services are 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at New Mt. Zion AME Church, with burial in Southside Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in Jefferson County's Wacissa Community, Mrs. Hicks was the widow of Ernest Hicks and a retired Leon County Educator. A member of New Mt. Zion, she was active in the Choir and Kitchen-Hospitality Ministries. She also was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the Capital City Garden Club. Survivors include her son, Eric (Amy) Hicks; step-daughter, Terry Evans; grandchildren: Henry, Atlas, Champ, Keyon, Nateisha, Demarcus and Kiesha; brother, Louis Samuel "LS" (Dorothy) Robinson; sisters: Eva Parker, Rebecca Robinson and Elizabeth Lewis; sister-in-law, Barbara Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
