Obituary

"Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them not,
come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 19:14

We lovingly announce the passing of Master Kane Josiah Amir Thomas , 3, of Tallahassee, Florida.

Master Kane Josiah Amir Thomas was born December 23, 2021, to Miss Sakari Taki Baker and Mr. Kadeem Thomas.  From the beginning, Kane was a bright light - radiant, joyful, and full of life. His talkative nature and magnetic personality drew everyone in; truly, he never met a stranger. Kane possessed a rare gift - an old soul in a young body. He had a natural understanding of people and showed compassion well beyond his years, always checking to make sure those around him were okay.

With his commanding presence and gentle heart, Kane had a way of making every moment feel like "everything is wonderful." He was a bundle of curiosity and love. Kane adored dinosaurs, pizza, and all sorts of animals, and his laughter could fill any room. He also had a growing love for basketball and for people - he simply loved everyone. One of his favorite pastimes was looking "sharp" and perfectly presentable, always flashing his signature smile. Kane was a proud student at Brownsville Preparatory Institute, where he enjoyed learning and making new friends. He embraced all colors - never choosing just one - because his heart was as wide and colorful as his imagination.

Kane leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Sakari Taki Baker and Kadeem Thomas; grandparents, Karlin Baker, Rashida Snow, Michelle Joshua-Richardson, Demetrius Richardson, Eric Thomas, and G-Paw Jarvis Hannah; great-grandmothers, Gilda Baker and Jessie Mae Snow; Grandfather, Randall Roebuck; his aunts, Katina Ferrell and Kayla Bryant; his uncles, Kamari Young and Khalid Thomas; Siblings, Kyrii Thomas and Gia Kendrick; and a host of devoted cousins, family members, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Kane's light, though brief on this earth, was immeasurable. His joy, kindness, and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
