Maxine Elliott Dickey of Tallahassee departed this life on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. She is survived by her "Honey", Leroy Melvin Dickey; her daughters, sons, grandchildren, siblings and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maxine was a proud graduate of Florida State University where she earned her Master's in Social Work. Like her mother, she spent her career helping the less fortunate and advocating for a better tomorrow. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, volunteering at her local Kingdom Hall and spending quality time with family and friends. Maxine left an indelible mark on all with whom she came in contact. She had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, and a witty sense of humor. Truly, her presence will be missed tremendously. At Maxine's request, no formal services will be held.
