Respectfully, we announce the passing of Mr. Michael Chay Henderson , 67, of Tallahassee, FL.
Funeral Services for Mr. Henderson will be 2:00PM, Friday, December 26, 2025, at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, 1027 Dewey Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32304, with the interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery.

Michael Chay Henderson, affectionately called, "Marchay" to some, and "Chay" by others, was born to Theodore Henderson, Sr., and Ronnie Gay Henderson Barron. Both parents and siblings, Leroy Gay and Tommy Henderson, all preceded him in death.
Michael accepted the Lord into his life at St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church at a young age, and was always very adamant about reading his bible, learning the Word, and maintaining a relationship with God.
Michael loved all sports, especially basketball which he played, and excelled at while in high school. He also attended Florida Memorial College in Miami where he was awarded in scholarship for his basketball skills. Self-driven, with extreme determination, Michael started playing youth basketball at Lawrence-Gregory Community Center, formerly known as Dade Street Community Center, where he was recognized as being a quick and strong team player who dedicated himself to the game. Michael continued playing basketball throughout his school years and later while playing basketball at Leon High School, Michael earned a Basketball Scholarship to Miami Dade College.
Michael loved his family and friends and relished in challenging them to a fun game of cards, board games, or to ask intriguing questions about different subject matters, keeping everyone engaged, while always instilling knowledge.
Michael leaves to cherish his love his Stepfather: Eddie Barron, Sr.; siblings: Gloria Gay, Samuel (Wanda) Gay, Theodore (June) Henderson, Anthony Barron, Angela Barron, Eddie Barron, Jr.; sister/cousin: Diane Gay, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Henderson and to serve the Henderson Family.
