Missionary Linda Delores Green Stephens was born in Wacissa, Florida, to Samuel Green and Rosa Lee Plummer Green on January 21, 1956. She was the fourth of five siblings. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Green; her siblings, Clarence Green, Gertrude Henry, and Gloria Green-Harrell; her nieces, Jennifer Henry, Cicdon Henry, and Juanita Henry; her nephew, Claude Henry, Jr.; and her great-niece, D'Shayla Barrs.

Linda received her education in the Jefferson County Public School System and graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1974. In 1973, while still in high school, Linda confessed Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and joined Union Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church of Wacissa, Florida, where she faithfully served as a member of the church choir and as a missionary. After high school, Linda attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) for two years before transferring to Fort Lauderdale College, where she studied to become a Computer Program Operator. Upon her graduation, she took time to focus on raising her three beautiful daughters.

In the late 1980's, Linda began working for the Department of Transportation as a Permit Specialist. After a statewide merger, she continued her career with the Department of Highway Safety as an Administrative Assistant, where she remained until her retirement in 2018. After retirement, Linda continued to share her joyful spirit and warm-hearted personality with everyone she encountered. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her classmates. Linda was a bright light, and she had a positive impact on every person she met.

Linda answered God's call and received her wings on December 6, 2025. Cherishing her life, love, and legacy are her three daughters: Colisler Green, Tenisa (Jamil) Green-Nathan, and Sheronda L. Green; grandchildren: Tre'Dez Jones and Jalehia Nathan; great-grandchild: Kylan Jace Jones; mother: Rosa Lee Plummer Green; sister: Velda (Robert) Green-Alexander; sister-in-law: Grace Green (Wife of the late Clarence Green); nieces: Angela Jordan, Latasha Harrell-Ferguson (Shaun), and Tadeshia Green; nephews: Clifford Harrell, Jr. (Ginette), Peter Green, Paul Green, Clarence Green, Jr. and Maurice Henry; great nephews: Caleb Johnson, Andre McKenzie, Kayonne Wright, Christian Ferguson, Clifford "Trey" Harrell, Carson Harrell, Carter Harrell, Treon Henry, and Tyrese Henry; great-nieces: Khaylen Harris, Camryn Ferguson, TyShaunda Henry, LaPorsche Henry, and Jerrica Henry; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Linda will forever be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and the love she freely gave to her family and all who knew her.
