It is with Deepest Sympathy, we announce the passing of Mother Deloris Kelly, 77, of Tallahassee, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950).

Homegoing Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Old West Enrichment Center, 2344 Lake Bradford Road, Tallahassee, FL 32310. The Interment will follow in the Macon Community Cemetery, 3198 Mae Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.

Celebrating the Life of Our Beloved
Mother Deloris Kelly

Mother Deloris Kelly was born in Starke, Florida on October 16, 1948 to Gus Kelly, Sr. and Irene Covington Kelly. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Josephine Kelly Thompson.

Deloris attended the public schools of Leon County and graduated high school through the Adult Education Program. One who believed in self-development, "Lois", as she was lovingly called, earned her Associates of Arts from Tallahassee Community College. In keeping with her degree, Lois worked most of her career as a professional childcare advocate/provider. She was well-known for her dedication to children, serving as teacher, cook, janitor and transportation coordinator. Lois became a talented hairstylist and worked at several locations throughout Tallahassee. After a long and distinguished career, she retired in 2016 from Kids, Incorporated.

At an early age, Lois confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. She became a devoted member of Elizabeth Popular Spring Primitive Baptist Church where she served faithfully. After many years of dedicated service, she was consecrated as a Church Mother and served with distinction as a member of the Mother's Ministry and Choir and she also served as Youth Ministry Director, Sunday School Teacher and Church Clerk. Mother Kelly was a superb cook and enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with family.

Mother Delois Kelly leaves to cherish beautiful memories and a legacy of love, her three children: Freddie Thompson, Jr., Robert Kelly, Jr., and La'Tia Kelly; two grandchildren: Shamika Thompson and Hayla Thompson; three great-grandchildren: Samondre Ealy, Samya Boyce and Fred Maynor III; siblings: Jacqueline (Wilmon) Hadley; Gus "Bill" (Lynn) Kelly and Janice (Rodney) Gainous; three godchildren: Lili Denmark, Shawn A. Steele and Byron Smith; godsister: Mother Yvonne Daniels; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends. 

It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mother Kelly and to serve the Kelly family.
