It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Mother Ruth Lee Robinson , age 93, of Wacissa, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO CHAPEL (850-997-5553) .
Homegoing Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Beth Page Missionary Baptist Church, 379 Beth Page Road, Monticello, FL 32344, with burial to follow in Beth Page M.B. Church Cemetery.
Mother Ruth Lee Robinson was born in Jefferson County, Florida on March 20, 1933. She was the second child born to the union of Abraham and Bessie Robinson. Mother Robinson was preceded in death by her daughter: Shirley Norton; her loving parents; and her siblings, brothers: Willie, Issac, Abraham, Arthur and Moses Robinson; and sisters: Carrie Robinson-Kelly, Gladys Robinson-Wilson, Martha Robinson-Best and Mary Robinson Hicks.
Ruth grew up in the Wacissa Community where she began her formal education. She entered the workforce early in life and for most of her career, she worked in the nursery as a planter. Ruth was a devoted family woman who enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dancing, candy-making (pecan brittle and pecan rolls), and traveling to new and different places.
At an early age, Ruth confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. She became a devoted member of Beth Page Missionary Baptist Church where she willingly shared her resources and talents. She was a Choir member, Church Mother, Women of Leisure member and the second oldest member of the church. Mother Robinson also had been a longtime member of the Heroines of Jericho.
Mother Ruth Lee Robinson transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her transition, her daughters: Frances Miller Walker, JoAnne (Alford) Bennett, Dorothy B. (Gerald) Edwards, (Caregiver) Rose R. (Gary) Hall, Takeshia (Stanley) Frances and Nikia Vance; grandchildren: Anthony (Nikkie) Seaton, Audrey (DeWanda) Seaton, Herbert Maxwell, Christopher (Mahalia) Jordan, Todd (Tara) Henry, Lorenzo (Kechia) Henry, Alicia Rene Smith and Alexandria Hall (Wahkeem) Whyte; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother: L.S. (Dorothy) Robinson; sisters: Eva Mae Robinson-Parker, Rebecca Robinson and Elizabeth Robinson-Lewis; sisters-in-law: Barbara Robinson, Martha Robinson and Reverend Minnie Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other caring and supportive family and friends.
It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mother Robinson and to serve the Robinson Family.
