Otis Hernando Forston, 47, of Tallahassee passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. The Celebration of Life Service will commence at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, at Truth Gatherers Dream Center Church (TGDCC), 1317 High Rd., Tallahassee. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday, December 1, at TGDCC. A native of Haines City, FL, Otis was a graduate of Haines City High School as well as the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), where he earned his Bachelor's in Social Work. He was a 20-year employee with the State of Florida, most recently as a Contract Manager with the Department of Health. He was also owner and President of Noah's Ark Housing, a housing provider for homeless and impoverished individuals. Additionally, Otis was a serial entrepreneur, advocate for the homeless and business coach. He was a member of TGDCC, where he served on the Board of Directors. Survivors include his wife, Kiosha Jones Forston; son, Neryan Forston; mother, Margaret Mariner Forston; sister, Tiffany (Timonthy) Mapp; brothers: Derrick (Shonyasha) Forston and Wayne Gandy; and a host of loving relatives and friends. Services are entrusted to TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950).
