Phyllis Elaine Edwards, 73, of Tallahassee passed on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday (Tomorrow), January 24, at Mt. Sinai AME Church, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Phyllis was a Tallahassee native and a 1969 graduate of FAMU DRS High School. She attended FAMU for one year before working several years for the FAMU Boosters, Inc. She worked for over 30 years with the Florida Department of Children and Families. She was a gifted seamstress and loved shopping and traveling. Cherishing her love and legacy are her daughter, Sheree White; grandchildren: Kennedy and Cole White; sister, Pamela (Rev. Dr. Edward II) Scott; brother, Moses Edwards; and several other loving relatives and friends. Phyllis' son, Chad Heyward and parents, Mose and Rosetta Bivens Edwards, all preceded her in death.
