Mrs. Pinkie Bee Hayes Vickers, 99, of Tallahassee passed at home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, at Mt. Pisgah AME Church, Fairbanks Ferry Road, Tallahassee. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery next to her husband, Arthur. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A Leon County native, Mrs. Vickers was a devoted member of Mt. Pisgah where she served as a Stewardess and former Choir member. She was an avid gardener, great cook and fisherwoman. Survivors include her son, Robert (Stella) Vickers, Sr.; daughters: Lexie Bethea, Nettie Jewel Vickers (devoted care giver) and Vernell (Auguster Sr.) Gaines; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
