It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Mr. Rayford M. Hutley, 83, of Tallahassee, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950).

Mr. Rayford Mitchell Hutley was born on November 15, 1942, to Raiford Mitchell and Emma Knight "Nee" Mitchell in Quincy, Florida. His adoptive parents were Sam and Fannie Hutley. Preceding him in death was his son: Anthony Hutley; parents and adoptive parents; brothers: Johnny Hutley, Theodore Hutley, Abraham Mitchell, and Joe Louis Knight; sisters: Rosa Marie Mitchell Cotton and Lorene Knight.
Rayford received his formal education in Gadsden County, Florida public schools. He worked in the construction industry for Joe Wallace Construction and Grady Bass Construction companies. He loved construction work and in his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing.
Rayford entered into the holy covenant of marriage with the love of his life, the former Pearlie Lee Jenkins, on June 19, 1965.
Cherishing Rayford's memories are his loving and devoted wife of 60 years: Pearlie Lee Hutley; beloved son: Terry Hutley, both of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter: Alayna L. Hutley; grandson: Anthony Hutley, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Jakarie Smith, Jarius Smith, Jayon Denson and De'Cadien Howard, all of Quincy, FL; sisters: Gloria Knight Pemberton, Houston, TX and Alice Mitchell Boggs of Crawfordville, FL; cherished aunt: Ruby Mitchell Bradley of Quincy, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Hutley and to serve the Hutley family.
