It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Mr. Raymond Ratliff, Jr. , age 70, of Tallahassee, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950) .

Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Stewart Temple A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 85 Woodward Road, Qunicy, FL 32352.

Raymond Ratliff, Jr. , was born on January 8, 1956 in Tallahassee, Florida to Raymond and Laura Ratliff. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Betty Jean Ratliff; three bonus sisters: Minnie, Patricia and Mary Bradham; and nephew: Randy Parker, Jr.

Raymond received his education through the Leon County Public School System. He dedicated many years of his life working as a professional painter alongside Jimmy Wilson and Sons Painting, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skill. In 1990, Raymond experienced a life-altering accident that left him paralyzed. Despite this challenge, he demonstrated remarkable independence and determination, continuing to live on his own for many years. In 2014, he suffered a stroke, after which his devoted niece, Cherilyn Davis, lovingly assumed the role of his primary caregiver, providing him with unwavering care and support until his passing.

Raymond departed this life leaving behind a legacy of resilience, strength and quiet perseverance. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted niece and caregiver: Cherilyn (Larry) Davis; brother: William (Flo) Ratliff; sister: Lisa Bradham; three nephews: Jimmy Ratliff, Robert Price and Marvin (Tangie) Allen; one niece: Tawana (Treco) Crawford; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Ratliff and to serve the Ratliff Family.
