Reverend Dr. Riccardo Willis, 70, of Jackson, MS, finished his earthly course
on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, September 12, at New Salem M.B. Church, 1201 Springsax Road,
Tallahassee. Military burial will follow in the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE
(850-942-1950). Reverend Willis earned his Bachelor's degree in General
Studies from Valdosta State University and his Master of Ministry and
Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Bethany Theological Seminary, Dothan
AL. He was a faithful member of Mt. Charity M.B. Church and pastored
several churches in both Florida and Georgia. He was employed as an
Insurance Agent with Pennsylvania Life Insurance Company. He valiantly
served his country in the United States Navy. Reverend Willis is survived by
his daughters: Dr. Charity D. Willis and Christia Willis White; his former
wife, Dr. Mary S. Willis; brothers: Dr. Kenneth W. Willis and Marshall
Willis; uncle, Wesley Sheffield, Jr.; devoted friends: Deacon Michael
Williams and Rev. & Mrs. Larry Hunt; special cousins: Rev. John Cowart
and Al & Pinky Gilliam Hall; and many other sorrowing relatives and
friends.
