Ricky L. Mathis, 60, of Tallahassee passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Bethpage M.B. Church, Wacissa, with burial in the Church Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in St. Petersburg, FL, Ricky grew up in Wacissa and was a 1981 graduate of Jefferson County High School. He loved deejaying and was an on-air personality at 1070 AM Radio in Thomasville, GA. Survivors include his son, Todrick Mathis; sister, Tangela Mathis Hills; brothers: Eddie (Charlene) Mathis, Jr. and Donald (Nicole) Mathis; grandmother who raised him, Mrs. Gussie Hightower; and a host of other relatives and friends.
