Roderick Marcel Wilson, 62, of Tallahassee passed at home on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in Port St. Joe, FL, Rod was raised in Tallahassee and had been employed for years as a painter. He was a Trustee at St. Phillip AME Church. Survivors include his daughters: Qunikiya Thomas and Asha Wilson; son, Roderick Wilson, Jr.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings: Eva Jacki Wilson, Penny Thompson-Sutton, Sabrina Thomas, David Wilson and Renato Glenn Thomas; and a host of other family members and friends.
