Samuel Lee Coleman, 78, of Tallahassee, FL passed at home on Friday, August 22, 2025. Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, in Southside Cemetery. A FAMU graduate, "Sam" was a multi-talented individual. He loved sports of all kind and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was highly skilled and competent in assembling, installing and repairing machinery. He retired as a mechanical engineer from National Linen Service; then worked at TMH and lastly at FAMU Plant Operations and Maintenance. Sam had a strong conviction in Christ and shared this with his family. Cherishing Sam's life are his loving wife, Arlene Coleman; daughter, Yolanda Unroe (Darcy); sons: Samuel Jr. (Theresa), Richard (Marian) and Steve Coleman (Olivia); bonus son, Raheem Sparrow; bonus daughter, Amber Williams (Lajarvis); 13 grandchildren; sister, Mamie Wayne; mother-in-law, Katie Mae Sparrow; father-in-law, Horace Bush; and a host of other relatives and friends.
