Samuel Willis, Sr., 83, of Tallahassee passed on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at The Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in Clifford Hill Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Sam attended the original Lincoln High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served with distinction before being honorably discharged. Before retiring, he had been a truck driver specializing in transporting building material. He was a member of Elizabeth Popular Spring. Treasuring Sam's love and legacy are his daughters: Wanda Willis (Davious) McKenzie and Saundra Willis; sons: Anthony and Surry Willis; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Fathia Willis; and a host of other relatives and friends. Sam was predeceased by his son, Samuel Willis, Jr. and daughter, Wilma Willis.
