It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Ms. Shawanda Felesha Parrish , 53, of Tallahassee, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 6, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 2015 Lake Bradford Road, Tallahassee, FL 32310.

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950) .

Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on November 17, 1973, Shawanda Felesha Parrish was the beloved daughter of Thomas Parrish and Gloria Butler. Shawanda's mother preceded her in death in March 2020.

As a child, Shawanda grew up in Deerfield Beach, Florida where she attended public school. She graduated from Blanche Ely High School. One who valued knowledge and the experiences that came with it, she enrolled in an on-line college program sponsored by South University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and later attained her Master's degree in Finance from the same university.

Shawanda was fun-loving and loved her children beyond measure. She was especially fond of her grandchildren whom she always made time for spending quality time. In her leisure, she enjoyed her computer, playing solitary and other games.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2025, God Almighty relieved Shawanda from all earthly trials and tribulations and welcomed her Home for her eternal rest. Her love and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of her children: Deandre Grace, Devantae Vanhook and Kierah Parrish; grandchildren: DeAndre Grace, Jr., Kingston Vanhook, Kaiden Parrish, Kaliyah Vanhook and Makayla Ford; siblings: Angela Abraham, Natalie McNeil, Ashley Fountain, Shawntae Parrish and Shalonda Parrish; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Ms. Parrish and to serve the Parrish Family.
