Sister Stephanie Lynn Amerson
was born on January 31, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Walter and Lila Amerson. She was the fifth of six children, reared in a close-knit and loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Derick and Danny Amerson.
Sister Stephanie received her early education in the Detroit Public School System, where she cultivated a spirit of independence and resilience that would guide her throughout her life's journey. She was known for her warm and inviting personality, her generous heart, and her remarkable ability to connect with others in a meaningful and lasting way.
In the year of our Lord 1998, Sister Stephanie made the life-changing decision to give her life to Christ. She was baptized at Detroit World Outreach in Detroit, Michigan, where she began to deepen her faith and commitment to a Christ-centered life. Her spiritual foundation remained steadfast and continued to guide her throughout the years.
Sister Stephanie was a diligent and devoted worker, building a career rooted in service to others. She was employed for several years with Technicolor and later worked extensively in the catering industry, where her passion for food and presentation truly flourished. She took great pride in her work and found joy in creating meals and experiences that brought people together in fellowship and celebration.
In 2020, Sister Stephanie relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, where she embraced a new and promising chapter of life. There, she continued her work in catering at Florida State University, where she was admired for her strong work ethic and pleasant demeanor.
Sister Stephanie possessed a vibrant and creative spirit. She found great happiness in cooking and was especially gifted in preparing beautiful food platters and decorative arrangements. She also enjoyed listening to music, which brought her peace and comfort, and she expressed her artistic nature through the creation of handmade jewelry. Her many talents, coupled with her loving disposition, made her a joy to all who knew her.
Above all, Sister Stephanie cherished her family and held dear the relationships she cultivated throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that shall forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted fiancé, Fred Williams; her loving children, Demone Amerson, Tanisha Amerson, and Allen Amerson; her cherished grandsons, Gannon Williams, Brandon Williams, Masiah Armstrong, and Zayden; and her beloved granddaughter, AliAnna Amerson; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
