Sterling Bernard Smith, 64, of Tallahassee passed on Friday, September 6, 2024. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in Culley's MeadowWood Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Thursday (Today) at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Sterling was a 1977 graduate of Florida High. He attended TCC and at age 18 began what would become a 35+ year career with the City of Tallahassee. He was a Systems Control Analyst in Water, Gas & Sewage at Station I, prior to retiring. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and lawncare. Sterling was a member of Bethel M.B. Church. His love and legacy will be cherished forever by his wife, Pamela Jones Smith; son, Sterling B. Smith II; daughter, Victoria Smith; mother, Zellene Williams Smith; sister, Pamela (Harold) Thornton; brothers: Dewey Smith III and Donald Knight; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
