Steve "Coach" Hall, 74, finished his earthly course on Monday, September 11, 2023. Funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Greater Fellowship M.B. Church, with burial in Oakfield Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at Greater Fellowship, with Masonic Rites at 6:00 p.m. A 1968 graduate of Howard Academy High School and Allen University, Columbia, SC, Steve was a retired teacher-coach with the Jefferson County School District and had been a longtime Associate at Tillman Funeral Home. A deacon at Greater Fellowship, he was active in White Grove Lodge # 222, PHA and an Advisory Board member with Big Bend Hospice. Treasuring his love are his devoted wife, Patricia Canty Hall; son, Steve Terrell Hall; one who was like a son, Ahmad Murray; daughters: Opal Hall & Ashlie Demps; 3 grandchildren; siblings: Marvin Jeffery (Earline) Hall, Lajuan Hall Jackson, Caffie Reed (William Sr.) Brockman & Debra Hall Jones; mother-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Canty; brother-in-law, Willie (April) Canty, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
