Sylvia Louise Bryant Walker, 76, finished her earthly course on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950). Military honors burial will be in St. Peter Community Cemetery, Woodville. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Tillman's. A Richmond, VA native, Sylvia graduated from Armstrong High School and served a two-year stint in the U.S. Army. She was an accomplished singer and loved fishing, crafts and photography. She had worked as a Teacher's Assistant for Special Education students at Woodville Elementary School. Survivors include her husband, U.S. Army Major, Retired Elder Shadrick Walker, Sr.; son, Reggie Bryant; stepchildren: Shadrick (Anton) Walker, Jr., Sean (Amanda) and Monica Walker; sister, Diane (Isaiah) Smithers; several grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
