Theola Blount Pompey, 85, of Tallahassee passed on Friday, March 15, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in St. Paul AME Church Cemetery, Tallahassee. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A native of Clearwater, FL, Mrs. Pompey was a FAMU graduate and Educator before embarking on a 30+ year sales career with Sears. She was a member of St. Paul and the widow of Rev. Franklin Pompey, a longtime AME minister. Survivors include her sons: Gregory (Patricia) Pompey and Lindsey (Rochelle) Pompey; daughter, Victoria (Edward) Pompey; sisters: Rose Bruton and Veronia Brown; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
