Obituary

"I've found in Him a resting place..."

It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Mr. Thomas Glenn Lewis , 73, of Panama City, Florida, who departed this life on December 13, 2025.

A Celebration of Life for the late Mr. Thomas G. Lewis will be Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11 a.m. (CST) at Shondo House of Praise, Inc., 1501 Lincoln Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405.

The public viewing for Mr. Thomas G. Lewis will be 10 a.m. (CST), one hour prior to the homegoing service at the church.

Thomas Glenn Lewis was born on September 26, 1952, in Panama City, Florida, to the late Thomas Willie Lewis Jr. and Wiltha Mae Lewis. He was the second of four children born to this union.

Thomas attended schools in the Bay County School District and was a proud graduate of Bay High School, Class of 1972. Following graduation, he dedicated over two decades of service to his community as an employee of the City of Panama City Street Department, where he worked faithfully for 23 years until his retirement.

Thomas was a man of strong faith who knew God and walked by faith, not by sight. He believed deeply in the power of faith the size of a mustard seed and lived life on his own terms, guided by conviction rather than the expectations of the world.

At a young age, Thomas was introduced to hunting and wildlife by his father, forming a lifelong love for the outdoors. His father also instilled in him a deep passion for sports, which he carried throughout his life. Thomas was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan since 1969, proudly cheering from the Terry Bradshaw era onward. He was also a devoted Florida State University fan and had a special love for University of Kentucky basketball.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Willie Lewis Jr.; his mother, Wiltha Mae Lewis; and his sister, Lillian Baker.

He leaves to cherish his memory his four beloved children: Tashon Lewis, Thomas Lewis, Yashica Lewis, and Keenan Lewis; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rosa Lewis, and brother, Venson Lewis, along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever remember his strength, faith, and unwavering individuality.

Thomas Glenn Lewis will be remembered as a man who stood firm in his beliefs, loved deeply, and lived authentically.

It is our profound honor to serve the Lewis Family.
