Tyrese Lamar Pompey, 32, of Tallahassee passed in Gainesville on Monday, June 26, 2023. Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Pilgrim Rest P.B. Church. Tyrese was a Leon High graduate and an alumnus of Tallahassee Community College. He had been employed by the Florida Department of Education prior to becoming disabled. He also had been a member of the Tallahassee Boys Choir, where he sang lead tenor. Survivors include his mother, Alfreda Collins; father, Gregory (Patricia) Pompey; brother, Reverend Gerard Lindsey; sister, Michelle (Phillip) Coleman; grandparents, Ella Collins and Theola Pompey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
