Mrs. Velma Lee Wood Scott, 100. of Tallahassee passed on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Graveside services are 12 noon Saturday in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A native of Bristol, FL, Mrs. Scott was a retired TMH Nurse and a member of St, John M.B. Church, where she had been a Choir member. Survivors include her daughters: Dorothy Wood Copeland and Freddie Mae Scott Battley; granddaughter, Sherryel Beverly; great-granddaughters: Tiffany Walker, Brandi (Bivilyn) Thompson Richards and Brittany (Gerrod) Walker Russ; ten great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Scott's husband, John Scott preceded her in death.
