U.S. Army Captain (Retired) Vincent L. Crump, 49, of Tallahassee passed on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Funeral services for Vincent LeMorris Crump, Sr. are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Bethel M.B. Church. Interment is 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at Bethel, with Omega Psi Phi Services from 6-6:30 p.m. A native of Lumberton, NC, Vince was a 1993 graduate of Lumberton Senior High School. He served nine years active duty as a U.S. Navy enlistee before graduating from Old Dominion University as a Commissioned Officer. He spent 14 years in the U.S. Army, retiring at the rank of Captain. Vince was an avid wrestler and fitness buff, who loved being a father and mentor. He was a deacon at Greater Love Church of God In Christ and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Cherishing precious memories are his loving children: Jazmin, Vincent Jr., and Chloe Crump; fiancée, Latisha Mathis; beloved mother, Helen Crump McArthur; brothers: Benjamin (Genae) Crump and Darren (Cierra) Crump; and a host of other relatives and friends.
