William Minners, Jr., 81, passed on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Memorial services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Watson Temple Institutional Church of God In Christ, where he was an Usher and Van Driver. A native of Greensboro, NC, Mr. Minners had lived in Philadelphia, PA and Los Angeles, CA before settling in Tallahassee. In California and Pennsylvania, he had owned and operated neighborhood corner stores. In Tallahassee, he worked for Dollar Car Rental and as a Produce Deliveryman. Survivors include his wife, Denita Hardy Minners; children: William III, Dante`, Bryan, Andrew and Rebecca Minners and Tami Foxx; bonus children: William Johnson, Mackey (Ericia) McNeal, Cynthia Johnson, Kimberly Miles and Tara (Josephus) Collins; 27 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
