Willie Lee Floyd, Sr., 84, of Tallahassee peacefully passed on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Southside Cemetery, Tallahassee. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Mr. Floyd was a Pool Maintenance Specialist, retiring from FAMU after 41 years of distinguished service. He also owned his own Cleaning and Lawncare Service. He had been a member of Jacob Chapel Baptist Church and was known for helping others. His love and legacy will remain in the hearts of his daughter, Dr. Phyllis Floyd (Ret. Army Col. Conrado) Morgan; sons: Willie Lee (Sherrel) Floyd, Jr. and Raymond Edward (Sylvia) Ardley, Sr.; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dr. Fred (Beverly) Gainous, Charles (Cathy) Jefferson, Oscar Floyd, Elder Kenton (Veronique) Floyd, Delbert (Kim) Floyd and Kirkland (Jeannie) Floyd; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. His wife, Jolene and son, Joel both preceded him in death.
