Willie James Harris, 89, passed at home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. At Mr. Harris' request, there will be no formal services. Willie had worked an array of jobs, including being a Shipyard Assistant, Farm Hand and Custodian for Leon County Schools, from which he retired. He was an avid card player. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Elvine Nixon Robinson Harris; daughters: Pharel L. (Melvin) Austin, Sandra (Ben) Robinson, Lottie (Tim) Curry and Lisa Lester; several grand and great-grandchildren; sisters: Sarah (Lamar) Barnes and Rebecca (Howard) Gibson; brothers: Albert Harris and Elmore (Eva) Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
