Willie Fred "Papa" McCray, 60, of Tallahassee and a Thomasville, GA native passed on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday (Tomorrow), May 24, at Jerusalem M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Willie was a talented painter, having worked as an independent contractor and as an employee. He had been a member of River Road Church of Christ, Albany, GA. Survivors include his children: Demetris and Ashley Jones, Maurice (Shay) Coleman, Nave (Ray) Vickers; one whom he loved as his own, Josh Jones; 9 grandchildren; siblings: Betty Grubbs, Belinda McCray, Peggy (Rufus) Cotton and Lamar (Jean) Petties; companion, Lucy Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
