KINSTON JAMES MONTGOMERY, SR. was the son of William H., Sr. and Bessie Gardner Montgomery. KINSTON was born on June 28, 1958 in Deland, Florida. Both of his parents, as well as his siblings, Henry Montgomery and William Montgomery, all preceded him in death.

KINSTON attained his education in the Volusia County School System in Deland. In 1996, KINSTON moved to Monticello, Florida, the hometown of many of his relatives. There, he worked for several years for Butler Walker Farms.

About three and a half years ago, KINSTON began experiencing several significant health challenges. He spent an excessive amount of time in doctors' offices and other medical treatment facilities. During his lifetime, KINSTON touched the lives of countless people by showing them the mistakes he made and helping them not to follow in his footsteps.

After just a few days stay at Heritage Healthcare, Tallahassee, KINSTON went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. His love and legacy will be treasured forever by his children: Kinston J. Montgomery, Jr., Kingston J. Montgomery, Yasming Jordan, all of Deland, FL, Michael (Janessa) Crawford and Shasmeika (Carlos) McCoy, both of Tallahassee, FL, Ronald J. Glasgow, Springfield, MA, Fayanna M. Glasgow, Phoenix, AZ and Yasmine K. Crawford of Orlando, FL; siblings: Alvin Montgomery, Monticello, FL, Richard Montgomery, Charles Montgomery and Michael Montgomery; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
