ROBERT LEE WILSON, SR. was born in Tallahassee, Florida on Sunday, June 23, 1974. He was the son of James Lee and Geraldine Miller Wilson. As a child, ROBERT grew up in Monticello, Florida where he attended the county's public school. He was a 1992 graduate of Jefferson County High School where he was a star wide receiver. His athletic proweness earned him a football scholarship to Florida A&M University (FAMU). His athleticism also catapulted him into stardom while at FAMU, allowing him to start every season. He played under then-head coaches Billy Joe and Ken Riley, respectively.

ROBERT, as a free-agent, played in the National Football League (NFL) with the Seattle Seahawks for three years and for two years with the New Orleans's Saints. With both teams, Robert was the Community Man of the Year, a distinction for having voluntarily completed more community service hours than his teammates!

Upon leaving the NFL, ROBERT returned to Tallahassee where his civic and volunteerism continued. He established a tutorial service, providing free tutoring services for all Title I Schools throughout Florida and Georgia; as a non-profit, he and his wife, Tiffany, established the only all-girls group home in Tallahassee. Within the non-profit, was a component to conduct fundraising, help provide housing opportunities, conduct coat drives and giveaways.

ROBERT'S dedication and commitment to volunteerism can be traced directly back to his strong Christian upbringing. Robert grew up in a God fearing home and was introduced early in life to the goodness of the Lord while attending Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, Florida. There, ROBERT was active in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Choir and Ushering. As a youngster, Robert was selected and designated a Junior Deacon.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, following a brief stay at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, ROBERT surrendered to the Will of God and went Home to be with the Lord. His love and legacy will be treasured forever by his loving wife: Tiffany Williams Wilson; daughters: Tamani Wilson and Arie Wilson; sons: Trevor Wilson, Robert Wilson, Jr. and Raylen Wilson, all of Tallahassee, FL; mother: Geraldine Miller Wilson (Ulysses) Roberson of Greenville, FL; father: James Lee (Kim) Wilson of Monticello, FL; sisters: Jameka (Stanley Mack, Sr.) Wilson, Miramar, FL, Stephanie Wilson, Valdosta, GA, Shauna (Lawrence) Parker, Jacksonville, FL, Tonya (Phillip) Branch and Sheila Farmer, both of Madison, FL and Dr. Melissa Wilson Ellis of Baltimore, MD; brothers: Michael Farmer, Monticello, FL, Scottie Wilson, Orlando, FL, Tyrone Wilson, Tallahassee, FL, Warren (Evelyn) Butler, Birmingham, AL and Dexter (Jada) Roberson of Lakeland, FL; parents-in-law: Donald and Deborah Williams of Dallas, TX; aunts: Gloria W.
